Granadillas in Peru

As you may have noticed on my Instagram recently, Nick and I have been doing a fun tour of South America before he starts his new job next month!  First we went to Lima, Peru, then Cusco, and now we're in Buenos Aires.  We've been having a great time exploring these new places together and practicing our Spanish!

Last week in Peru, I had granadillas for the first time - they are SO good and I can't stop thinking about how to get my hands on some in the U.S.!  They're a super cool fruit that have a somewhat hard but easy to break through shell, with goopy seeds inside that look kind of like gross insect eggs but taste amazing!  Thanks to miss Ana Elisa Sotelo for introducing them to me, and for being such a wonderful host to me and Nick in Peru :)
